1. What is Ooh La La Baby Surprise?
Ooh La La Baby Surprise is a deluxe all-in-one gift for LOL doll lovers. Unlike normal LOL doll toys that come with one doll and accessories, Ooh La La come with accessories–both doll and kid sized. There is so much to each Ooh La La that it costs more than regular LOL tots dolls, making it more like LOL Pearl Surprise or LOL Bubbly Surprise.
We like to call these all-in-one gifts because Ooh La La, Pearl Surprise, Bubbly Surprise, and other deluxe LOL toys make perfect birthday party and Christmas gifts. They are in the right price range–unlike the much larger Big Surprise and Bigger Surprise–and have a bit more to them than just one LOL doll (which may leave your little one wondering where’s the rest of the gift).
2. The surprise ball packaging is purple and light blue.
You’ll know Ooh La La when you see it. The surprise “ball” is super cute and HUGE. The half ball (the back and bottom are flat) really takes up quite a bit of space because the contents are large.
We all know LOL packaging can be a bit useless, but the Ooh La La ball is worth keeping. Here are some ideas for what you can do with it:
- All LOL doll storage. Get rid of all those surprise balls (or do this with them) and put all things LOL inside Ooh La La Baby Surprise.
- Sleepover train case. Stuff a few clothes and toiletries into the LOL Ooh La La Baby Surprise carrying case and your little one is ready for a sleepover.
- Snack case. Going on a long journey or road trip to Grandma’s house? Pop some healthy snacks inside ziplock bags and through them in the Ooh La La carrying case for your LOL doll lover.
- Picnic basket. One of our favorites! Make an impromptu and no-fuss picnic by putting some sandwiches and drinks in the Ooh La La case. Grab an outdoor blanket and your little one, then head to the playground or a nearby park. For extra fun, bring a few LOL dolls.
The next point is the absolutely most IMPORTANT thing about the packaging…
3. The doll on the package is the doll inside.
That’s right!
Unlike many other LOL dolls and toys, the doll on the package is the one that’s inside. You need to pay close attention to the Ooh La La you’re buying to ensure you get the one your little one wants. After all, she may not check the picture on the package until AFTER she has unwrapped it, then good luck returning it to the store.
One foolproof option is to buy Ooh La La on Amazon because there’s a separate listing for each one that makes it clear which one you are buying.

4. Ooh La La Baby Surprises are and aren’t surprise toys.
Since you know which doll is inside, Ooh La La is and isn’t a surprise toy. Lots of parents have mentioned their little ones have gotten duplicates or worse–triplicates–of normal dolls. As long as you read the package and buy the correct one, you won’t get a duplicate with Ooh La La Baby Surprise.
They are surprise toys in that your little one still gets the joy of unwrapping blind bags.
5. There are currently 3 dolls in the series.

7. Each Ooh La La Baby surprise is kid sized.
All the accessories in Ooh La La come kid sized for your little one and the doll to share. For example, the purse is big enough to fit the doll, but also an appropriate size for your little one to carry with her. The lip gloss pacifier will fit in the doll’s mouth, but also in your little one’s mouth (and she can wear the necklace).
8. Here’s what you need to know about the doll:
- The baby doll included is more than 6 inches tall, making her more than twice the height of regular LOL dolls and 3 times as tall as normal lil sisters.
- She’s made from hard plastic and rubber, so she’s a bit durable and can be easily cleaned but NOT APPROPRIATE for children under 5.
- These baby dolls tinkle through a hole in their bottoms.
- Ooh la la baby dolls can put the pacifier in their mouths just like you.
- These cuties have sparkle hair that won’t come off in your little ones hands (or on your sofa).
9. The cell phone case is supposed to be cracked.
We’ve been getting lots of questions about this…
The cell phone has been designed to have a cracked plastic cover. That’s right…it’s styled so that the cover is cracked like your little one dropped it.
Why?
We don’t know. Maybe MGA Entertainment–the makers of LOL dolls–thought it was a cool detail. Just know that the phone ISN’T DAMAGED. It’s supposed to be like that.
10. Expect 2 waves.
LOL Surprise toys (not the dolls) usually have 2 waves. We don’t think Ooh La La Baby Surprise will be any different. Our prediction is that there will either be 3 more cuties from Series 2 OR 3 from Series 3 Confetti Pop.

Ooh La La Baby LOLs were released around June 2019. We saw them in stores about 2 months later.
Amazon usually has LOL dolls before stores, so be sure to check there for the latest.
How Much Does Ooh La La Cost?
The retail price of LOL Surprise Ooh La La is $39.88.
We’ve seen the price pretty consistently at $40 online and in stores. Be sure to check Amazon to make sure to get the best price (they’ve started matching Walmart prices, and these guys normally have the best price anywhere).

ALWAYS check to see if you can buy an LOL series online BEFORE braving traffic, wasting gas, and traveling from store to store. Our favorite place to buy is Amazon, of course. Here’s why:

If you are going to buy on Amazon, keep in mind that Amazon only guarantees products that they sell, so you should look for LOL products that are shipped and sold by Amazon. Listings are often consolidated, so only take the counterfeit comments seriously if NOT sold by Amazon.
One great thing about buying LOL dolls this is that Amazon has taken over a lot of the selling of LOL Surprise products to stop price gouging experienced on previous Christmases.
