5-6-7-8…OMG Dance Dance Dance Dolls are ready for a dance battle! Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to vogue. The makers of LOL dolls keep the hits coming with the latest Outrageous Millennial Girls, blacklight edition. That’s right! OMG Dance dolls glow by black light. Your little one gets the OMG dolls she’s starting to love, plus the wonder of blacklight. What other dolls have that?!?
Check out the parents’ guide to the OMG Dance Dance Dance dolls so you can know before you buy. If you’re looking for the best prices, check the price on Amazon before you head to the store searching for these dolls.
1. What are OMG Dance Dance Dance Dolls?
OMG Dance dolls are Barbie-sized dolls that glow by blacklight. They are larger than the LOL tots and lil sisters but have all the sass. These dolls are themed around high, funky fashion and diva personalities.
This LOL dance series is the follow-up to the music-themed Remix series. Each doll comes with its own mini dance floor and signature dance move. They are grouped by the music channel they would be on: 5, 6, 7, or 8 (like the count-off for a dance).
These big LOL dolls have maintained many of the details we love about regular LOL dolls, while introducing new and cool ideas into the LOL universe. If your little one is already into Barbie dolls, she will probably adore OMG Dance dolls. Otherwise, stick with the normal LOL dolls to ensure she plays with your latest purchase.
2. OMG Dance are blacklight dolls!
We’ve all seen glow-in-the-dark toys and blacklight features on some boys’ toys, but OMG Dance is one of the only girly doll series that we’ve seen use black lights.
Here’s how it works:
- You get the same cute, sassy type of dolls you get with any OMG series doll.
- Turn the lights off in the room or put the dolls in a box so the immediate area is dark.
- Use the included (or any) black light to see the doll’s new colors and surprise details.
Every doll comes with its own black light, so you don’t need one. Here’s what it looks like. The color of yours may be different.
Don’t worry if your little one loses this one; dolls will work with other black lights.
3. Big LOL dolls come in a box…
…not a ball,
…or a canister.
Yup, these guys actually come in boxes. The box also functions as a selfie station, so there’s a logic behind the design.
Each box color is slightly different, but they should all be turquoise and have many of the same elements on them. The picture and writing remind us of old-school music videos that first came out in the 80s on MTV.
However…
Beware of fake LOL dolls. Be sure to check the box you find carefully because it is much easier for counterfeiters to copy a box, rather than a ball.
4. The doll on the package is the doll inside.
That’s right!
Unlike many other LOL dolls and toys, the doll on the package is the one that’s inside. You need to pay close attention to the OMG Dance doll you’re buying to ensure you get the one your little one wants. After all, she may not check the picture on the package until AFTER she has unwrapped it, then good luck returning it to the store.
The name of the doll is on the front left bottom side of the box and on the side of the box (like a book title).
One foolproof option is to buy OMG Dance dolls on Amazon because there’s a separate listing for each one that makes it clear which one you are buying.
5. There are 4 dolls in OMG Dance Dance Dance.
OMG Dance has 4 sassy girls that come with plenty of accessories to enjoy. Clothes and accessories will fit other OMG dolls, so you’ll probably need more dolls if you want your little one to have lots of fun mixing and matching the outfits to create new looks.
We’ve presented the dolls below in large size so you can see the detail that has gone into them.
Miss Royale
B-Gurl
Major Lady
Virtuelle
6. Dolls are big sisters, not moms.
Just to clear up the confusion, OMG Dance Fashion Dolls are big sisters to other LOL dolls, not moms.
Each OMG doll has been matched to a popular doll from another series:
- Miss Royale is the older sister of Royal High-ney from Series 1.
- B-Gurl is the older sister of Beats from Series 2 and Bling Series.
- Major Lady goes with Stardust Queen from Surprise Series.
- Virtuelle goes with V.R.Q.T. from Series 3 Confetti Pop and Sparkle Series.
7. The unboxing is totally different from any other series.
Once your little one chooses her favorite doll, you’ve got to get it out of the box. With OMG Dance dolls the unboxing can be difficult because you need to do it in a certain order so that you can keep the box (it is a closet and dressing room after all). Here’s how to unbox LOL OMG Fashion dolls:
- Take the tape from the top and bottom of the box. It is usually on the left side.
- Slide the cover to the right, using the start here arrow.
- You’ll see the doll on the cover change.
- Pull again to see the doll in the selfie station.
- Be sure to leave this part of the box intact (it’s the selfie station) so your little one can use it again.
- Gently open all gift boxes and paper because they are reusable.
Patience is the key to unboxing LOL OMG Surprise big sisters for the first time.
8. The surprise packaging is reusable and useful (finally).
If you were tired of throwing away all that LOL doll plastic and hoarding surprise balls…good news!
The packaging for OMG Dance dolls is reusable and useful. Clothes come in paper garment bags (not plastic blind bags) with hangers that can be hung up again and again. You’ll also find shoes in a shoebox, and accessories in a box…not blind bags. If you unwrapped and opened the box carefully, your little one should be able to use it as a closet and dressing room for all the contents.
9. There are 15 surprises.
These are deluxe dolls, so of course there are deluxe surprises. Here’s what your little one can expect to unbox. The contents vary slightly based on the styling of the doll.
- Fashion sticker
- Jacket
- Top (shirt, tunic, or dress) = she’s wearing these
- Bottom (pants, skirt, or tights) = she’s wearing these
- Accessory (hat) box
- Earrings
- Glasses or headset or hat
- Other accessories
- Hairbrush
- Shoes
- Hanger
- Garment bag
- Blacklight
- Doll
- Doll stand

11. OMG Fashion dolls are about 10 inches tall.
Since they are like Bratz and Barbie dolls, LOL OMGs are about 10 inches tall (much taller than regular LOL tots). They are slightly shorter than Barbie dolls, which are 11.5 inches tall.
OMG Dance dolls have bendable arms and legs (knees). They will be stiff at first, but you have to click them a few times to warm them up. After the limbs are working properly, you will know they are fixed in place when you hear the click.
Because of the size difference, don’t count on OMG dolls using many of the standard LOL doll accessories. The only items we could get to fit are LOL tot doll purses.
Some Barbie clothes MAY fit OMGs. However, the OMGs tend to be curvier than Barbies, so have your little one try Barbie dresses and skirts.
12. The hands come off!
Yes, yes, yes! If your little one wants to have ANY success at taking the doll’s clothes on and off without ripping them, she will have to pull off the hands and slide the sleeves on.
It may seem weird at first, so do it a couple of times for her and explain why you’re GENTLY (not ripping) the doll’s hands off. The removable hands make dressing soooo much easier.
13. Each doll has its own dance style!
Each doll has a signature dance move that your little one can learn. Dolls are either a member of the old or new school in the dance-off. Here are their styles:
- Miss Royale = vogue
- B-Gurl = breakdancing
- Major Lady = pop/rock
- Virtuelle = virtual
14. There’s a whole website just for the series!
We’re super excited that MGA has decided to provide a website just for the LOL Surprise! Dance Dance Dance series. You can click here to go: https://www.lolsurprisedance.com/
Here’s what your little one can do on the site:

Where to Buy LOL OMG Dance Fashion Dolls
ALWAYS check to see if you can buy an LOL series online BEFORE braving traffic, wasting gas, and traveling from store to store. Our favorite place to buy is Amazon, of course. Here’s why:
- FREE RETURNS!
- Fast, free shipping
- Competitive prices
- Improvements to fight counterfeiting
If you are going to buy on Amazon, keep in mind that Amazon only guarantees products that they sell, so you should look for LOL products that are shipped and sold by Amazon. Listings are often consolidated, so only take the counterfeit comments seriously if NOT sold by Amazon.
One great thing about buying LOL dolls is that Amazon has taken over a lot of the selling of LOL Surprise products to stop price gouging experienced on previous Christmases.
