1. The LOL boys are anatomically correct!
This is absolutely the first thing you must know about all LOL boy tots dolls…
They have a frank and beans.
Yes, these dolls are anatomically correct. AND it’s obvious.
Your little girl will see the male parts and definitely ask questions about them, so if you aren’t ready for the “boys are different from girls” talk, avoid the LOL boys.
However, if your little one has a brother (or even close boy cousins) so has probably already figured this out but never mentioned it. Might be worth asking her what she knows…
2. The series sold out almost immediately.
LOL boys have been slowly introduced over a couple of series, but they have been in huge demand ever since Punk Boi kicked down the door in Series 3 Confetti Pop.
However, you could not specifically and knowingly buy a boy LOL doll until LOL Supreme BFFs.
Now, with the new series of boy LOL dolls, you can specifically and knowingly buy a boy LOL doll PLUS there are options.
As a result, the first Amazon pre-order for LOL Surprise Boy Series was closed almost as soon as it was opened. If you want a boy from this series, you’d better monitor Amazon.

3. The surprise ball packaging is baby blue.
Despite the inventive packaging of the recent Series 5 Makeover Series (the “ball” is a spray can), LOL boys are keeping it classic with the typical surprise ball.
4. The ball features Nightfall.
There are A LOT of fake LOL boys out there, so it’s important to know the packaging of the real series. An authentic ball will feature Nightfall, the doll shown below.
5. There are 8 tots dolls in the series.
Yes, only 8 cuties to enjoy:
- King Bee
- Sunny
- Nightfall
- His Royal High-Ney
- Smarty Pants
- Luau
- Do-Si-Dude
- Boy Next Door
Assume that if this series does well, there will be more boys in the future.
6. The boys are the brothers of LOL tots dolls.
Always trying to make big happy families, MGA Entertainment (the makers of LOL dolls) have put each of the boys in a family with existing dolls. These doll families from a range of series, but the brother and sister are always in the same club.
Each boy has been styled and named to coordinate with his girl tot sister. Here are the pairings:
- King Bee = Queen Bee from Series 1 and Glitter series
- Sunny = Dawn from Series 3 Confetti Pop
- Nightfall = Dusk from Series 3 Confetti Pop
- His Royal High-Ney = Royal High-Ney from Series 1
- Smarty Pants = Teacher’s Pet from Series 1 and Glitter series
- Luau = Coconut Q.T. from Series 2 and Glam Glitter series
- Do-Si-Dude = Line Dancer from Series 1
- Boy Next Door = Baby Next Door from inside the LOL doll house
7. There are no lil brothers or sisters for this series.
Just to clarify, the lil brothers and lil sisters are part of other series–not specifically the LOL boy series.
For example, Boy Next Door’s little brother, Lil Boy Next Door, has actually been released in Series 5 Makeover Series Lils.
So why is this important?
Because your little one is HIGHLY UNLIKELY to be able to create a complete family unless your buy lots (and we mean lots) of dolls. It’s better to focus her or his attention on getting cool dolls to play with, not being uber-collectors.
8. Boy dolls have 7 surprises.
Just like old school LOL dolls, the boys have:
- Secret message
- Water surprise sticker
- Bottle
- Accessories
- Outfit
- Shoes
- Doll

9. Each dolls has 1 of 5 water surprises.
Your little one’s boy LOL doll will either spit, cry, tinkle, color change, or squirt water from his ears.
There is only one version of each doll, so (hopefully) your doll will do what’s on the collector poster. If not, the doll has a manufacturer’s defect but MGA Entertainment does not send replacement dolls for this.
10. There’s a Series 2!
The boys caused a stir the first time around…

Can’t Find the LOL Boy Series…Try These Instead!
If you can’t find the LOL Boy Series but your little one desperately wants a boy doll, try these options:
LOL Supreme BFFs
An Amazon exclusive 2 doll pack that includes one girl and one boy doll styled like a bride and groom. LOL Supreme BFFs were the first chance ever to specifically buy a boy doll. Since this is a limited edition exclusive, they will probably be hard to find and expensive to buy.
Other than LOL Supreme BFFs, there is a low probability that you will find a boy in the previous LOL series. We’ve included all the series that have boys here, so you can try your luck.
LOL Doll Facebook Groups
Savvy moms (and dads and grandmoms) have been trading for the dolls they want in Facebook groups. Historically, boys have been expensive because there were so few.
Now that there are more, prices should go down and availability should increase. If your little one doesn’t care about unboxing a boy–she/he just wants to get one–Facebook groups may be a strong possibility.
