LOL Series 4 pets are here with continuing an awesome theme: Eye Spy.
We were first treated to the Eye Spy lil sisters and Under Wraps tots as part of Series 4. Now we have 2 waves of cute pets to bring home as well. In the Eye Spy series, the dolls and pets are spies on a mission. The theme includes secret messages that can be decoded using a special spy glass.
Each pet is designed to go with a Big Sister and a Lil Sister to complete the family from Series 4 and previous series.

Here are the top things you need to know about these adorable LOL pets:
1. Horses, mice, skunks, and more!
LOL Series 3 pet featured puppies, kitties, bunnies, and hamsters. LOL Series 4 pets bring even more new animals: horses, mice, ravens, skunks, owls, and hedgehogs. There’s even a winged pony named Unipony.
The pets were released in two waves. Wave 1 features 19 pets, while wave 2 has 18. So, there are 37 pets total in Series 4.
2. The surprise ball packaging is pink.
Just like the LOL big sisters (tots) and lils released in Series 4 Eye Spy, the packaging for these LOL pets is pink with dark pink circles.
3. There are 2 different pets on Wave 1 and Wave 2 balls.
Not sure if you’re buying from wave 1 or wave 2? Take a look at the pet on the ball.
Wave 1 balls feature Angel Wings.
However, wave 2 balls show Ancient Meow.
So why does the wave that you buy matter? Different pets have been included in wave 1 and wave 2. If you like some more than others, you increase your chance of getting a pet you’ll love by buying in the right wave.
4. Series 4 Pets have 7 surprises.
Similar to the LOL Series 3, each pet comes in a layered ball with 7 surprises that fit the eye spy theme:
- Spy glass
- Secret message sticker
- Bottle
- Shoes
- Pooper scooper
- Accessory
- Pet

5. One accessory is inside the pet sand.
A cool little extra surprise with the LOL pets is that one accessory is hidden inside the pet sand. Your little one can use the pooper scooper to dig out the accessory.
Unfortunately, if the shoes are the accessory that is hidden in the sand, it is a little bit of work to get all the sand out of the inside of the tiny shoes. The easiest way to remove the sand is just to wash the shoes and then wipe them with a small cloth or wet wipe.
6. Don’t throw away the sand…it’s kinetic sand!
The sand in the sandbox is kinetic sand, so it’s tactile and moldable, to avoid messes and spills and keep the fun going. The sandbox neatly clips together, to keep the sand in one place, and the kinetic sand adapts to the cute paw prints in the mold every time.
What is kinetic sand you ask?
Kinetic sand is super cool moldable sand. It has the look and feel of slightly wet sand, but it only sticks to itself. That’s right…no spills or sticky surfaces from kinetic sand.
It NEVER dries out so your little one can use it over and over again when playing with her pet.
If she likes kinetic sand, you might consider getting her a portable kinetic sand box. Kinetic sand is the PERFECT alternative to play dough!
7. Pets have water surprises also.
Oh so many new features in Series 4…we love it!
Series 4 brings a new 5th water surprise: squirting water from the ears. On the collector’s poster, you’ll see a yellow squinty eyed emoji.
Add that to the other existing 4 surprises: color change, tinkling, crying, and spitting. Keep in mind that your pet will only do 1 of the 5 water surprises. If there are 2 surprises listed on the collector’s poster, it means that there are 2 versions of the pet.
8. You get a pet bed too!
The ball the pets are packaged in converts into a little pet bed with a litter box for them to live in or into a small purse or case just like the dolls’ balls do.
9. The Sleepover Club for dolls is the Nap Club for pets.
I guess you could have a pet sleepover, but for the pets a better name was the Nap Club.
10. There are rare and ultra-rare pets.
Rare pets for the first wave of Series 4 are The Pony, Coco Hammy, and Cheeky Hedgehog. The Pony is best, in our opinion, because she has a gorgeous gold glitter mane.
Ultra-rare pets for the first wave of Series 4 are Sugar Squeak and Sugar Sneak, twin (almost) mice in the Glitterati Club and Dusk Raven, a raven (bird) in the Opposites Club.
Rare pets for Series 4 wave 2 are Independent Meow and Madame Pup (both Glitterati Club).
Flower Doodle (Glam Club) is the only ultra-rare pets for Series 4 wave 2.
These pets are very cute, and are designed to perfectly complement the look and personality of their associated Big Sister and Little Sister dolls, to make a matching set.

I’m pretty sure that Flower Doodle isn’t the ONLY ultra-rare pet in Wave 2. There’s also Squeak-nik (Retro Club), Punk H.O.G. (Rock Club), and Purrfect Spike (Athletic Club).
