DIY LOL Doll Advent Calendar Materials
- Piece of foam board
- Tissue paper
- Elastics (rubber bands)
- 25 small cups
- Paint
- Paint brush or sponge
- X-Acto knife
- Pictures of your favorite LOL tots and lil sisters
- Number stickers
- Any other decorations you want to add
- The surprises you want to put inside your calendar (LOL Lils, chocolates, whatever)
Tips for Your DIY LOL Doll Advent Calendar
The video really covers the entire process of creating the calendar, but we’ve got a few helpful tips.
#1: While any age child can enjoy the calendar, it is actually best if it is made by children ages 5 to 12. There are some steps that require adult help so children younger than 5 may not be able to do the entire project on their own.
#2: Adult supervision is preferred for this project. Each of the cup circles has to be cut with an X-Acto knife that is REALLY sharp, so this step should be done by an adult. If the child is over age 10 and skilled with sharp objects, they may be able to cut the circles, but it is best you watch.
#3: Be sure to make the LOL Doll Advent Calendar on a surface you don’t care about…like an old table…OR use a cutting mat (this one even comes with the knife!). You will be cutting and painting on the surface so it will be damaged.
#4: Be sure to cut the holes for the circles smaller than the cups so the cups will stay in the foam board.
#5: You can cut out the LOL tots and lil sisters from your collector posters to put on the LOL Doll Advent Calendar.
Tip #6: Fill your advent cups with chocolates or healthy treats.
