1. What are LOL OMG Fashion Dolls?
LOL OMG Fashion Dolls Series 1 are the first LOL dolls to be released that are larger than the tots and lil sisters, but have all the sass. These dolls are themed around high, funky fashion and diva personalities.
These big LOL dolls have maintained many of the details we love about regular LOL dolls, while introducing new and cool ideas into the LOL universe.
If your little one is already into Barbie dolls, she will probably adore LOL OMG dolls. Otherwise, stick with the normal LOL dolls to ensure she plays with your latest purchase.
2. Big LOL dolls come in a green box…
…not a ball,
…or a canister.
Yup, these guys actually come in green boxes. The box also functions as a dressing room and closet, so there’s a logic behind the design.
However…
Beware of fake LOL dolls. So far, LOL OMGs are the only LOL doll series to come in a proper box. If you find other series in boxes, they are probably fake. Moreover, be sure to check the green box you find carefully, because it is much easier for counterfeiters to copy a box, rather than a ball.
3. The doll on the package is the doll inside.
That’s right!
Unlike many other LOL dolls and toys, the doll on the package is the one that’s inside. You need to pay close attention to the LOL OMG doll you’re buying to ensure you get the one your little one wants. After all, she may not check the picture on the package until AFTER she has unwrapped it, then good luck returning it to the store.
The name of the doll is on the front left side of the box and on the side of the box (like a book title).
One foolproof option is to buy LOL OMG Fashion dolls on Amazon because there’s a separate listing for each one that makes it clear which one you are buying.
4. There are 4 dolls in Series 1.
Series 1 (you just know there’s going to be a series 2) has 4 sassy girls that come with plenty of accessories to enjoy. We recommend buying all 4 so that your little one will have lots of fun mixing and matching the outfits to create new looks.

5. Dolls are big sisters, not moms.
Just to clear up the confusion, LOL Surprise OMG Fashion Dolls are big sisters to other LOL dolls, not moms.
Each OMG doll has been matched to a popular doll from another series:
- Lady Diva is the older sister of Diva from Series 1.
- Swag is the older sister of M.C. Swag from Series 1.
- Neonlicious goes with Neon Q.T. from Series 2.
- Royal Bee goes with Queen Bee from Series 1.
Are LOL OMGs teenagers or in their 20s? Your guess is as good as ours.
6. The unboxing is totally different from any other series.
Once your little one chooses her favorite doll, you’ve got to get it out of the box. With LOL OMG dolls the unboxing can be difficult because you need to do it in a certain order so that you can keep the box (it is a closet and dressing room after all). Here’s how to unbox LOL OMG Fashion dolls:
- Take the tape from the top and bottom of the box. It is usually on the left side.
- Slide the cover to the right, using the start here arrow.
- Gently pull to the right once for accessories.
- Pull again to see the doll in the dressing room.
- Pull the dressing room door gently out like a real door. Be sure to leave the left side intact so your little one can close it again.
- Gently open all gift boxes and paper because they are reusable.
Patience is the key to unboxing LOL OMG Surprise big sisters for the first time.
7. The surprise packaging is reusable and useful (finally).
If you were tired of throwing away all that LOL doll plastic and hording surprise balls…good news!
The packaging for LOL OMG dolls is reusable and useful. Clothes come in paper garment bags (not plastic blind bags) with hangers that can be hung up again and again. You’ll also find shoes in a shoes box, and accessories in a box…not blind bags. If you unwrapped and opened the box carefully, your little one should be able to use it as a closet and dressing room for all the contents.
8. There are 20 surprises.
These are deluxe dolls, so of course there are deluxe surprises. Here’s what your little one can expect to unbox. The contents vary slightly based on the styling of the doll.

9. LOL OMG dolls are more like Bratz dolls than LOLs.
These big sisters have a lot in common with their younger LOL sisters. But they also have a lot in common with Bratz dolls.
Remember these?
Bratz dolls were super sassy “Barbie-like” dolls that had their own movies, tv shows, and web series in the early 2000s. Not coincidentally, they were also made by MGA Entertainment–the makers of LOL dolls.
LOL OMG Fashion dolls are similar to Bratz dolls in size, “personality,” and nature. OMG fashion dolls also DO NOT color change or have water surprises like LOL tots and lil sisters.
10. OMG Fashion dolls are about 10 inches tall.
Since they are like Bratz and Barbie dolls, LOL OMGs are about 10 inches tall (much taller than regular LOL tots). They are slightly shorter than Barbie dolls, which are 11.5 inches tall.
LOL OMG dolls have bendable arms and legs (knees). They will be stiff at first, but you have to click them a few times to warm them up. After the limbs are working properly, you will know they are fixed in place when you hear the click.
Because of the size difference, don’t count on OMG dolls using many of the standard LOL doll accessories. The only items we could get to fit are LOL tot doll purses.
Some Barbie clothes MAY fit OMGs. However, the OMGs tend to be curvier than Barbies, so have your little one try Barbie dresses and skirts.
11. The hands come off!
Yes, yes, yes! If your little one wants to have ANY success at taking the doll’s clothes on and off without ripping them, she will have to pull off the hands and slide the sleeves on.
It may seem weird at first, so do it a couple of times for her and explain why you’re GENTLY (not ripping) the dolls hands off. The removable hands make dressing soooo much easier.
12. There are so many fun details.
MGA Entertainment really went to town on the LOL details. Hopefully, that means there’s a lot for your little one to discover and love about the dolls. Here’s what we found so far:
- Painted nails
- Each doll has detailed toes
- The fashion magazine has the doll’s astrological sign and horoscope
- Surprises are packed where they should be (for example, shoes are in the shoe box)
- The shoe box looks like a real shoe box from the store
- There is uniquely decorated tissue paper in the shoe and accessory boxes
- Dressing room has a working mirror (peel the film off) and door

I love LOL dolls but I think the brand is growing too big. Bratz dolls?!? Who really liked Bratz the first time around and to give them to us again. Torture…I think they should stick to the little dolls or finally release an official soft doll with no choking hazards for children under 5.
Hi Elie, I think they are trying to develop dolls that LOL doll lovers will like as they grow. I agree about the Bratz dolls but I think OMG has some of the stylish sassiest without the rude entitlement of Bratz dolls. OMGs are also better made and styled than their predecessors. I agree on the soft doll. Little ones with older sisters can’t have LOLs but definitely want them. I haven’t seen any official soft LOLs, just licensed stuff.
