1. What is LOL Surprise Sparkle Series?
LOL Sparkle Series is a limited edition glitter series released in June 2019. It’s limited edition because there is only one wave manufactured and, once it’s gone, it’s gone!
2. The surprise ball packaging is iridescent pink-purple.
If your little one loves purple, she’s going to love the Sparkle Series packaging.
Be sure that the ball is well shrink wrapped because we’ve seen some fakes with a bit of loose wrapping. Also note that there should be a string coming out of the top, since the ball doubles as an ornament (or fun display case to hang anywhere). If you remember the Bling Series, it’s the same concept.
3. The ball features Unicorn.
This cutie from Series 3 is shown on the ball. If you see any other doll, it’s a fake. There won’t be an LOL Sparkle Series wave 2, so this doll should be on all the balls.
4. A bunch of Series 3 LOL favorites are coming back!
So why is Unicorn from Series 3 Confetti Pop on a Sparkle Series ball? Because some of our Series 3 favorites are coming back in sparkle versions.
Dolls in this series are NOT the same dolls in the Glitter, Glam Glitter, or Bling series. They are sparkle versions of Series 3 dolls.
5. There are only 12 dolls in the LOL Surprise Sparkle Series.

The LOL Sparkle Series is an excellent chance to get Series 3 favorites if you didn’t get them the first time around. LOL doll mania was in full swing for Series 3 Confetti Pop, so your little one could have easily missed out. If one of the above dolls was one of her favorites, so may be able to get a new version now.

6. LOL Sparkle Series outfits are different from the same doll in Series 3.
Since the same dolls are being relaunched, you might think that the Sparkle series isn’t worth buying. It definitely is!
The same cuties get different outfits (and glitter hair) this time around.
For example, in Series 3, Punk Boi wore a white/black band tee shirt, camo shorts, red flannel shirt, and black shoes. In LOL Surprise Sparkle Series, he wears glittery silver pants and blue/red shirt with tie.

Like dolls in other limited edition series, the unboxing of a sparkle series doll includes the 7 layers of surprises:

9. These dolls actually have glitter that will last on them.
The Sparkle Series dolls do have glitter adhered to their hair and accessories. Glitter was not secured properly to the first manufactured runs of the dolls, so it was common for the glitter to come off.
MGA Entertainment, the makers of LOL dolls, have released a number of glittery series since then, so they have used that experience to fix the problem. If you buy these dolls, they are unlikely to leave glitter all over everything.
10. Each doll has 1 of 4 water surprises.
The series collector poster lets us know which water surprise your little one’s doll with have. Each doll with either cry, spit, tinkle, or color change.
Even if 2 surprises are listed on the poster, the doll will only do 1. That means, if you get 2 different Snuggle Babes, one may tinkle and the other may spit.

Sparkle Series LOLs were released around June 2019. We saw them in stores about 6 weeks later.
Amazon usually has LOL dolls before stores, so be sure to check there for the latest. Check the price on Amazon.
How Much Does Sparkle Series Cost?
The retail price of LOL Sparkle Series is $10.88.
We’ve seen the price pretty consistently at $11 online and in stores. Be sure to check Amazon to make sure to get the best price (they’ve started matching Walmart prices, and these guys normally have the best price anywhere).

How do I purchase just the unicorn and glamstronaut dolls? My 4 yr old had them and some one has stolen them from her, she has cried and cried about it. I’m not able to pay 50 and 60 dollars a piece for them. Please help
