Easter is just around the corner and we have the perfect idea for your LOL doll loving little one: an LOL Easter party!
Now before you think you have to run out and buy a bunch of LOL Easter party stuff, keep in mind that your party can range from a simple and fun deluxe picnic to a full on neighborhood kid LOL block party.
With just a few simple ideas and some thoughtful planning, you can have a fun little LOL Easter party that doesn’t break the bank. We have pulled together 12 ideas with photos to inspire (and simplify) your LOL Easter party.
1. Have your LOL Easter party outside!
April is the sweet spot of spring: not too hot, not too cold, and not too rainy (hopefully). Enjoy the weather by taking your whole LOL Easter party outside. An outdoor party also:
- Minimizes inside cleanup
- Puts activities and food be in the same general area
- Excites kids because they get to be outside
If your back or front yard space is limited, try packing a picnic and taking a few decorations to a nearby neighborhood or public park.
2. Focus on the party table and stick with classic Easter colors.
It’s easy to go overboard with decorations. Unfortunately, it will cost you more planning, money, and sanity.
We recommend focusing on the party table for the maximum wow effect. If your party is outdoors, you won’t be able to decorate much more anyway.
Your little guests will open the door to the backyard or step into the room and be wowed by a fabulous table decorated beautifully. After all, table decoration is an art form.
Rather than getting a bunch of LOL themed items, stick with classic colors that unite Easter and LOL dolls. We like pink and aqua green, but you can also add in yellow and baby blue.
The absolute easiest decorations will involve:
- a plain table cloth (plastic or cloth is fine but we tend toward a white table cloth that can be reused and bleached to maintain the color)
- a few balloons placed at the end of the table (be sure to buy enough that each child attending can take 1 home)
- flowers as centerpieces (cheap and beautiful)
In addition to these basics, you can add the plates and plastic silverware. On top of each plate, place an Easter basket, mixed egg shaped candy in cute wrapping, and any other items each child will need for the day’s festivities.
If you are doing your LOL Easter party picnic style, lay out a huge series of blankets and have your balloons off to the side. Add some contrasting outdoor pillows for relaxation and easy decoration.

3. Use old LOL Surprise balls as Easter eggs in the hunt.
Finally! One good use for all those non-recyclable old LOL doll balls you’ve got laying around.
Take the old LOL doll balls and stuff theme full of candy. Hide them as special treat for little ones to find during the Easter egg hunt.
Plus, they get to keep the balls (and you get rid of the extras).
4. Play bocce ball with old surprise balls.
Bocce ball is an easy outdoor game that little ones of all ages can enjoy. If you have more old LOL doll balls, you can make your own set of bocce balls.
Check out our complete rules and ideas for play here.
5. Decorate eggs with classic food coloring and LOL stickers.
A great activity for little ones during the LOL Easter party will be to decorate their own eggs. You can dye the eggs ahead of time or let the little ones paint them THEN apply LOL doll stickers.
But…
If you want to take the LOL doll theme further and let them have even more fun, get the LOL Surprise Styling Studio.
Your group will be able to decorate the eggs with stickers, markers, and everything else in the kit. Plus, you can tear apart the printed pages and activity book to be another activity.
Another great party gift for their Easter basket!
6. Get some LOL themed Easter candy and mix in regular candy.
Don’t break the bank by providing ALL LOL candy. Get a few, well-chosen LOL chocolates and mix them in with M&Ms, Smarties, Reese’s Pieces, and any other lower priced Easter themed candy you can find.
You can even just put these candies in clear plastic bags and attach a printable LOL doll tag.
7. Have an LOL doll Easter scavenger or treasure hunt.
LOL Scavenger Hunt
If your little one has a bunch of LOL dolls, accessories, or miscellaneous LOL stuff, gather it all up and have an LOL doll Easter scavenger hunt. While you can have them find a list of random LOL things, you can also give them a doll to start with then have them build a funny outfit based on the scavenger hunt items.
LOL Treasure Hunt
Want to be fancier? Do a treasure hunt that includes clues to each doll item. We found a pre-made, easy clue set from Jelly Bean Jam to get you started.
If you’re clever with your own the clues, you don’t even have to hide items. You can give them a box or bag of LOL doll stuff and have them put together an outfit based on the dolls.
LOL Puzzle Hunt
Want to be even fancier? Do a puzzle hunt using the LOL doll 60 piece puzzle (you can group the pieces). Follow the example and use pre-made clues from from Childhood Beckons.
8. Get the little ones to decorate cupcakes with LOL and Easter colors.
Who doesn’t love cupcake decorating?
Your little ones will have an activity and make dessert at the same time. All you have to do is bake the cupcakes and gather the other ingredients.
Are you a little lazy like us? Then follow these tips to make everything easier:
- Use a cake mix and just bake them as cupcakes.
- Make the cupcakes in cute (preferably polka dot to be on theme) cupcake paper cups so half the decorating is already “done.”
- Use pre-made vanilla icing but offer several different types of sprinkles and confetti.
- Make LOL doll cupcake toppers like the ones above using STICKERS rather than printing and cutting out all the little dolls.
9. Play LOL games like memory and the LOL board game.
If your little one is a real LOL doll addict, she probably has an LOL game or two at home that can be played during the party. We absolutely love the LOL doll board game and it guarantees at least 30 minutes of game play. Check out our full review and rules here.
10. Color LOL coloring sheets.
An easy crowd pleaser. You can even take your coloring to the next level by doing it as a 3 Marker Challenge. Poke around Google and you’ll find some great sheets.
11. Have an LOL ball and spoon race.
Yet another use for those old LOL doll balls! Whether you have a classic egg and spoon race or use LOL doll balls, this fun active game is going to be a hit.
12. Serve finger food and don’t worry about theme.
At this point, you have LOL inspired decorations, LOL games, and LOL gifts, don’t go overboard or waste time by coming up with LOL themed food as well (other than the cupcakes, of course).
For ease, we recommend just doing classic, fun, guaranteed to be eaten children’s party food. Here are our favorites:
- Sliders
- Chicken fingers with honey mustard sauce
- Mini sandwiches
- Mini quiches
- Macaroni and cheese cups
- Veggies with dipping sauce
- Chips and salsa
- Fruit and cheese tray
To drink? Shirley Temples!
